THE SHORT VERSION
- Weight-loss injections are prescription-only medicines (POMs). They must not be sold like cosmetics, and advertising rules restrict how they may be promoted to the public.
Who can supply them
A registered prescriber assesses you. A pharmacy (often separate from the prescriber) dispenses. Understanding that split helps you check a service properly.
- Write down your current medicines and allergies before any consultation.
- Confirm who prescribes, who dispenses, and how aftercare works.
- Keep screenshots or emails of price, dose and delivery terms at checkout.
- Know how to contact the service if side effects or supply problems arise.
