THE SHORT VERSION
- Check the time since the missed injection and your last actual injection.
- Use the leaflet or pharmacist for the next step; do not improvise a catch-up schedule.
Write down what happened
Note when the injection was due, when you last actually used Mounjaro and whether any other injections have been missed. Open the leaflet's ‘If you forget to use Mounjaro’ section. It gives different instructions depending on how much time has passed. Do not transfer a Wegovy rule to Mounjaro.
If the dates are unclear, or you are unsure whether an injection was delivered, ask the dispensing pharmacist before taking more. Have the pen name, label and any symptoms ready.
Resolve the reason for the gap
Tell the prescriber if the gap happened because of illness, side effects, supply problems or a decision to pause. A longer interruption or restarting after stopping needs individual advice.
Ask when the next scheduled injection should be and record the answer. If delivery caused the problem, arrange a realistic reorder date. If remembering was difficult, add a reminder and tick off each completed injection. If you may have taken too much, get medical advice promptly rather than waiting for the next appointment.
